• Magical Marijuana Trail

Most visitors see Kathmandu Valley from a taxi window or a walking tour. This short mountain biking experience shows it differently — on two wheels, moving through offbeat backstreets, farmland and forest trails that most travellers never discover. We begin south of the city, warming up with a coffee at a local favourite before setting off on urban backtrails designed to skip the traffic. The route soon opens into singletrack, farm paths and short climbs, leading into Bungamati, a Newar village known for centuries of woodcraft, and Khokana, where mustard fields and quiet lanes replace the noise of the city. This loop also connects with the Bungamati Trails, a community initiative supporting local youth and the growth of mountain biking as a sport in Nepal. Riding here means experiencing genuine village life and countryside terrain, all within half a day. We finish the way any good ride should end — with pizza and a cold drink, legs tired and minds thoroughly refreshed. Around 25km, four hours — Kathmandu Valley's most offbeat short experience on two wheels.

I am usually never in the office, and my colleagues call me the Tourist. I think strategically, and align the company to the future. I enjoy developing new experiences the most, and of course nothing can beat leading a group on a unique journey through Nepal. Uh Oh I forgot, I would rather be in the mountains!
